SOUTH PLAINFIELD - Mrs. Virginia Desch Gulledge, 77, passed on Sunday, March 3, 2019, in the VA Memorial Home of Menlo Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Gulledge Sr in 2009.Mrs. Gulledge was born in Newark and lived in North Plainfield for most of her married life. Mrs. Gulledge was born in Newark and lived in North Plainfield for most of her married life. During the last two years, she resided with her daughter Debra Johnson in South Plainfield and her fiance.
Surviving are her children, Ginette Hughes in Florida, Debra Johnson and James W. Gulledge Jr in New Jersey, Serena Gulledge and Karen Gulledge in Pennsylvania. One grandson, Devin Michael Hughes in Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the AFTD Foundation.
There will be a Celebration of Life on May 4, 2019.
