Heaven gained an angel last week. My mom fought a long battle with COPD among several other health issues over the last several years. She was a strong woman of faith and is now where she does not have any pain and no medications are needed. I’m sure she is singing and entertaining. Everyone that met her loved her. Her joy for life was contagious and will live on in the hearts of those that loved her. She was a loving mother to my brother, Derek and I and grandmother to my children, Angelica and Blake, and my brother’s children, Richard, Katie, Joanna, and Zach. She will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of her life with family and friends at some point in Arkansas where most of our extended family live. In the meantime you can leave your thoughts on this site. Thank you

And oh how her boisterous laughter would fill a room. She was an impeccable woman.... moreI always remember thinking Aunt Vickie was just the most elegant and beautiful woman. There was something about her that just Radiated elegance and grace in my eyes. And oh how her boisterous laughter would fill a room. She was an impeccable woman. Although I don’t have very many adult memories with her, the few that I do have were always filled with fun and laughter! You will be dearly missed Aunt Vickie! Rest In Peace and give my Danda and Poppa big hugs for me! Oh what a reunion I bet you all had!!! less

She was brought into my life life when her beautiful daughter became my Sister-in-love 18 years ago. I will always cherish my visits with her. The last time i saw her was Christmas 2019. We always had so much to talk about. She loved her family so much! She made me feel like her family. She will always hold such a special place in my heart. She will always be my “Paula Deen!” RIP Nan and give mom a big hug from me! less
