Dearest friends, 
 
It’s with heavy hearts that we share our faithful, vibrant, joy-filled Dad, Tim Evans, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 21st. Though his unexpected passing has left a void that we are having trouble expressing in words, we want to reach out to those whose lives were touched by our Dad’s life, marriage, ministry and mission. 
 
While we find ourselves overwhelmed by this loss, we are so very grateful for every second we had with him. Everyone who knew our Dad, knew that he loved being married to our mom. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for her or our family. He adored his kids and grandkids. 
 
Our Dad was strong and passionate. He was an eternal optimist and constant encourager. He was a man who loved others deeply and intentionally. He was passionate about God’s design for marriage and looked for every opportunity to share the message of co-leadership and unity. He stood for justice and mercy. He was a leader that championed women. He walked humbly and loved God. 
 
Our hearts are broken but our spirits have peace. We find comfort in knowing the first words he heard when he met Jesus were “well done good and faithful servant”. We also believe he responded with his famous catchphrase, PAAAARRTY!!
 
My parents always began every teaching by saying, Life is lived in stories. Stories build intimacy and God is telling a story of intimacy through your life. With this in mind, we are asking you to share your own stories, memories, videos and pictures by on this website. We invite you to check it regularly as we will be updating it with eulogies and additional videos in the coming weeks. Due to COVID, our family will be holding a private service with the hope of hosting a larger celebration of life at a later date.

Obituary

Timothy Michael Evans, age 65, passed away unexpectedly the morning of August 21, 2020. He was born on February 5, 1955 in Chicago, IL, the son of William and Jeanne (Zinkann) Evans. After graduating from Elk Grove High School, Tim married the love of his life and childhood sweetheart, Anne O’Shaughnessy.  He began his career as a firefighter in Hoffman Estates, IL.  Tim then spent 22 years on the Schaumburg Fire Department, retiring as Deputy Fire Chief. At the age of 41, he retired from the fire department and answered the call into full-time ministry, moving from Illinois to Lakeland Church in Holland, Michigan.  The next step of his journey brought him to Pasadena, California, where Tim & Anne were deans of The Call School of Ministry.  They ultimately landed in Colorado Springs where they pursued their lifelong passion of Co-Leadership in marriage by creating REAL LIFE ministries.  Countless individuals and couples were impacted by their teaching and writings. Tim’s greatest passions in life were his relationship with God, his marriage and his family.

Tim left behind his beloved bride, Anne, and four children Timothy Evans Jr. of Colorado Springs, Amy (Curt) DeBoer of Kalamazoo, Michigan,  Colleen (John) Stickl of Flower Mound, Texas and Cate (Darren) Baze of Colorado Springs as well as grandchildren Joel, Grace & Jack DeBoer, Trey & Emma Stickl, and Jay Baze. Tim is survived by siblings Kathy (Pat) Halloran, William (Dawn) Evans, Daniel (Jane) Evans, and Jay (Diane) Evans; siblings-in-law Patricia (Mike) McAleer, John (Caryl) O’Shaughnessy and Colleen Warszewik; and 31 nieces and nephews.

Tim was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.  It is hard to believe that someone so full of life is no longer with us.  His loss is and will continue to be felt deeply by so many.
