Ted Greenberg, son of Betty and Robert Greenberg, was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1956 and passed away on June 19, 2021. Ted had a variety of jobs in his younger days, while raising his son Charles. Ted later took on the challenge of going back to follow his passion -- getting his Bachelor’s degree in English from Rollins College in 2007, and then a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida.
After graduating with his MFA, Ted remained involved with a number of writing groups in Central Florida, and worked in a variety of roles at UCF, including teaching and tutoring, finally joining administrative support for UCF and the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities. Ted’s life revolved around his friends from over the years, including people from his writing groups, and his longtime church, Orlando Community Church, but also neighbors and others whose path he crossed. He was a generous friend and a dedicated father. Ted is survived by his son Charles, his sister Wendy, and his two brothers Marvin and Andrew.
Donations in Ted’s memory may be made to Orlando Community Church or the UCF Foundation Giving Page.
