Tammy touched the lives of so many. She was special in that she had the ability to make any and everyone feel loved. She was a devoted wife to her husband Arthur. She was an amazing mother to her daughters Shannon and Tanise. She was the beloved GiGi of Kennedy. She never met a stranger and was always the first one to show up and show out for those who needed her. We honor and remember her!

I've noticed a different kind of energy in my day to day flow and paused to think about the shift. Mrs. Tammy immediately came to mind. I thought about each interaction we shared and what those moments were filled with...pure love, light and an undeniable force of energy. I know Mrs. Tammy's presence continues live in me and I'm thankful. 💜 less

“Her work here is done”
These are powerful words taken from my cuz Tammy’s home-going. There are very few people I know personally who have the natural power to touch the lives of so many like Tammy did. Her wonderful spirit, smile, laugh, memories and inspiration will be in our lives forever. She was truly one in a million. Today was a hard yet memorable celebration of her amazing life, one that she lived with so much purpose and love. #Tammyinspired #CarterFamilyLove #LiveLifeWithPurposeless

She would come to my nail salon for services and talk about her girls, Mr. ART and her lil' Diva grand daughter. She participated in the Red Shoe Divas, a group for women to enjoy each other and the city of Indy. She continually encourage me. We discussed relationships and shared grief with the loss of our mothers. We discussed service in church, style, and how this Naptown girl was different from others. She always encouraged me to soar. I had a child late in life and Tammy helped plan my baby shower. Having the baby was one of the biggest blessings in my life. Tammy created a very special gift for my Zoey to open on her 16th birthday. I promised I would wait until her birthday and present it to her then. It will be that much more special when we open it in 10 years. Knowing Tammy has been a blessing and more than I can ever express here. I pray the family finds peace and remember the Joy that she brought. less

Tammy and I got picked at since we polished off some ribs together 🤣 ( they were so good!) We bonded even more over my grandmother's vintage jewelry, and I love that she was able to squeeze on little Kaius. I only wish we had taken more photos. Tammy gave so much love and always seemed to have room for more. Feeling so blessed she called me daughter, supported my personal interests, advocated for me, and even extended her support to my friends and their baking business. I will miss her listening ear, great advice, and hugs only a mama can provide. A loving, amazing, classy lady like no other. I love her dearly and already miss her very much. 💜🥺✨ less
