It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Stuart (Claycomb) from Weiser, Idaho, who passed away at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise on October 1, 2021, at the age of 66.
Susan was the daughter of Richard Earl Claycomb of Norristown, PA and Patricia Lou Zorn of Berlin, PA, who both preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother William M. Claycomb of Norristown, PA, grandparents Eugene Claycomb and Jane Claycomb (Thomas) of Collegeville, PA and Edward M. Zorn and Ethel Zorn (Beech) of Berlin, PA , as well as, her mother-in-law Ethel Stuart (Carlson) of Emporium, PA.
Susan is survived by her daughter Sarah Afshar of Meridian, ID and daughter Rebekah Afshar of Somerset, PA. She is also survived by her husband of 17+ years Jack Stuart of Weiser, ID. She is also survived by her sister Terri J. Carver of Raleigh, NC, her brother Richard S. Claycomb of Conshohocken, PA, her brother Patrick L. Claycomb of Douglasville, PA, and her sister Candi L. Overly of Champion, PA.
Stuart was a medical professional and nursing director for about 30 years. She was the valedictorian of her class. Before that, she was a business executive for Commodore Computers in West Chester, Pennsylvania and the Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard) in Maynard, Massachusetts.
After she retired in 2017, she was an active member of the Riverside Baptist Church located in Weiser, Idaho and an avid volunteer of the LOVE Inc. organization where she was in charge of the housewares closet. In addition to this, she use to cook meals for the LOVE Inc. financial classes, donate time to Operation Christmas, and she raised money for the HOPE Pregnancy Center.
Some of her interests include: praying, painting, floral arrangements, sketching, DIY crafts, canning, cooking, baking, animals, gardening, green cleaning, soul music, science fiction movies, volunteering, and meeting new people.
Before she died, she said everything she did in life she did for God. Susan died October 1st 2021. She was cremated on October 13th 2021 and her service was held October 23rd 2021 at the Riverside Baptist Church, where over 100 people were in attendance. She will be remembered, missed, and loved forever by family and friends.
