OBITUARY
Stephen Chiminello had a zest for life and the world around him. You only had to know him a short time to see his big heart and kind nature. He was an incredible father, grandfather, partner, teacher and friend. He was happiest while working outdoors and never seemed to stop trying to do things for others. He was always positive and still looking out for others even on his hardest days. I can only imagine Steve faced adversity with the same resolve. The last time she skied in Utah I promised her she could ride on my shoulders any time she wanted to make a run. I know she's been waiting for Steve, may they both be at peace. less

Whenever we visited, Steve always reminisced about his days teaching and coaching at Marshfield High, which he loved. He was so patient, understanding and loving to your mother in her struggles with cancer. The last time we were all together was in Chincoteague - a special memory in our lives. He seemed too young to die - always thought we would get to Smith Mountain Lake one more time. His grandson looks just like him! Please keep pictures coming. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow with much love, Diane and Charlie. less

Oh Diane, you are so so sweet. He loved you guys and his time in Marshfield. He always said “those were the days.” Thank you for being such good friends to both my mom and dad.
