As a child, Spades was baptized and attended the New Testament Apostolic Church in Richmond, Virginia.

 

Scope at Hopewell Public Schools. He graduated from Hopewell High School in 1997. He went on to pursue a degree in accounting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He was the first in his family to pursue a degree in higher education.

 

Skop has a smart and punctual sense of humor. He is kind and loving people and very sensitive towards other people. He is very observant, quiet and likes to clean. He created an entrepreneur and is known for his gardening and handyman business. Whatever job Skop had, he worked hard for it. Skop is remembered as a loyal and committed friend, often putting others above himself. he is a deep thinker and loves music; it is therapy and relaxation.

 

Skop Timothy's death was preceded by his grandparents, Paul Skop, Sr. and Lurietha Epps Timothy; John and Leugenia McKenzie; niece, Simyrah Charles; uncle, Samuel Pope; aunt, Geraldine Pope.

 

He went to remember his parents, Paul and Joyce Timothy of Hopewell; brother, Lafayette D. Pope Charlotte, NC; Michael A. Timothy (Shannon) of Hopewell; sister, LaSandra D. Charles (Lambert) of Hopewell; nephew, Lambert, Jr. (LJ); Godmother, Agnes Avery; and many loving and loyal aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 

Skop Timothy will be sorely missed by many of his friends, family, acquaintances and co-workers.

 

Homecoming service will be held at 1 pm, Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Chapel of Bland Funeral Homes, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg, VA, 23803, Rev. Calvin Lewis, Sr., eulogist. The funeral will take place at the Mount Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George, VA.
