On December 20, 2022, at 3:41 AM with her husband by her side, Ruth Ellen Williamson (age 74) awoke to the bright sunrise of a beautiful endless day. Ruth was born September 29, 1948, to Alfred Emmanuel and Marie (Etter) Peterson in Tacoma, Washington. She is survived by her husband of 55+ years, Robert Paul Williamson, and their two children, Paul Emmanuel Williamson (Jennifer Lynn Williamson), and Lori Elisë Kroh (Joshua Lee Phelps), grandchildren, Andrew Fox Burden, Preston Bailey Williamson, and Tahlia Gabrielle Williamson (fiancé Baxter Kane Lindner), as well as her half-sister, Gloria Marie (Peterson) Pitkanen.

Ruth grew up and lived her whole life in the Summit area of Tacoma on what had been her grandparents, Gottfried and Elisë Etter’s, dairy farm. Ruth came to know and love Jesus at an early age and lived for Him her entire life. She served for many years as a church worship pianist and truly enjoyed Southern Gospel music. In 1967, she graduated from Franklin Pierce High School and later on July 7^th of that same year, she married the love of her life at Collins Community Church. By trade she was a bookkeeper for many years at Willows Lumber in Puyallup before joining in supporting her husband, Bob’s photography studio until their retirement in 2012. Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she loved her family with all her heart. She left her family a great legacy of love for the Lord, and they are grateful to know she is free and with her Savior and first love, Jesus Christ.

A celebration of Ruth’s remarkable life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 1:30 PM at Faith Family Church (Upper Entrance), 1702 Milton Way, Milton, WA 98354, with reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made to Faith Family Church in Ruth’s honor.
