When the girls were young he would always pretend there were bonbons in Sofia’s ears and she would be so fascinated with his magic skills. She remember s him always calm even when he had to spend hours teaching her the same math problem over and over again. He always said she was “uma menina muito especial”. His daughter Ana also remembers him as a very patient father that always took her to museums & theatres when she was young. She always noticed that he had a gift of not carrying at all about what people said or thought about him. He was the most selfless human being we have encountered on this earth. Never needing anything of monetary value showing us what he truly valued was peace, serenity and some downtime with his girls at home. His daughter Joana remembers their one on one tennis lessons growing up as Joana found a new interest to her fathers pass time game of tennis. He used to sing her a song “juji, jujita menina tão bonita” that she recognized him singing every time he was near her.
