Bob moved to Bowsman, MB, with his...  see moreNOLEN, Robert September 23, 1950 – Halifax, Nova Scotia December 26, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta Robert Nolen of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 69 years. Robert was born in Halifax, NS, on September 23, 1950. Bob moved to Bowsman, MB, with his family in 1965 where he attended high school. Within a few years, he moved to Winnipeg, MB, where he met and married his first wife, and his son Trent was born. He then moved to Spruce Grove, AB, and finally Calgary, AB, where he permanently resided since 1980. There he had his second-born Megan Nolen, and shortly thereafter he married his second wife Sharon in 1992. Robert accomplished much throughout his life, working in Telecommunications which gave him the opportunity to travel the world. Robert’s most memorable vacation was when he travelled to France, where he enjoyed sightseeing and indulging in exquisite foods. Robert had a passion for cooking and drinking fine wines, as well as socializing with friends and family while sharing life stories. He will be most remembered for his big smile, always lending a helping hand, and of course his famous Caesar Salad. Robert is survived by his daughter Megan; sons, Trent and Larry; his mother Betty Nolen; his sister Linda; and his granddaughter Jesslyn; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Robert was predeceased by his father Clifford Nolen; and his sister Carol along with her husband Dwight, and their daughter Samantha.
