I first met Ralph over dinner he had prepared for me at his apartment 20 yrs ago. I still remmeber the meal as it was one of the spiciest pasta with tomato sauce I've ever tasted. I couldn't eat a single bite but Ralph sat and ate his entire plate while he sweat profusely. Ralph was indeed a talented cook. He since preapred numerous dinners that we shared in that apartment. He was always clipping or emailing recipes. Dinners were always followed by music and sometimes a dance. Being surrounded by all his painting and sculptures while eating and sharing time is what I'll remember best about Ralph.
