It is with saddened hearts that the family of Nellie Young Cuachon of Katy, Tx announces her passing at the age of 79 years. Nellie is survived by her husband Leo; her daughter Jocelyn and son-in-law Gene Guzman; her son John and daughter-in-law Carmen Tan; her son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Arlene Yap; and her daughter Joy Theresa; her nine grandchildren: Patrick, Andrew, and Michael Guzman; Jason and Leonard Cuachon; Terrence, John Paul, Justin and Jeffrey, Jr; along with brothers Cesar,Jr and Henry; sister Leticia; sisters-in-law Adelfa, Bertha, and Sally Young and Pacita Cuachon as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing and funeral service has been dispensed with by the family due to the nature of her death. Coronavirus is a highly infectious disease hence the family elected to have her body cremated. 

Nellie was born in Ilog, Negros Occidental Philippines on January 15, 1941. She graduated High School from University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and earned her secretarial degree from La Consolation College, Bacolod City Philippines.

Nellie was married to Leo on March 5, 1966. They were married for 55 years.

In loving memory to Nellie , the family is planning a celebration of Life in her honor either virtually or in person. Details to follow.

Her ashes will be brought home to Bacolod City, Phillipines for her final resting place when it is safe to travel.
