Muriel aka 'Murt' & 'Meemoo' passed away on September 11th, 2020 at the age of 74.  Mother, Grandmother, retired Psychiatric Nurse & Friend.  She will be remembered fondly by her son Scott & daughter Megan, sister Elaine, grandson Declan & extended family & friends.  Muriel grew up on a dairy farm in Campbellford Ontario with parents Don & Fern Rutherford, her older sister Elaine & younger brother Ron.  'Murt' became a Registered Nurse thru Peterborough Civic Hospital & began her career at Sick Kid's Hospital in Toronto.  She then joined North York General Hospital when it opened as a Psychiatric Nurse who went on to over 40 years of service.  In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren & friends. Muriel was also passionate about her home, gardening & baking.  Due to Covid restrictions, a small family gathering will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Campbellford.

In her memory, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario & The Canadian Mental Health Association of Ontario are welcome & appreciated.
