Born on July 4, 1977, in Broken Arrow, OK, Mike was passionate about technology. He was a serial technology entrepreneur who founded multiple high-tech groups and companies and also invented numerous tech related products and services. He was unafraid to experiment or think divergently. His passion lent itself to a career as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Metroplex Communications.
Mike enjoyed being an amateur radio operator and held a General Class license, KD5QLN. He was an active member in Dallas Makerspace, the Dallas Future Society, KERA/PBS, Denton County Amateur Radio Association, and The Tulsa Repeater Organization, and several other technical and community organizations. He valued being able to share his knowledge with others who were eager to learn about technology. He constantly pursued a better way to do things and make a better life for his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in his honor to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (https://primaryimmune.org/idf-online-donation) or the American Association for the Advancement of Science (https://www.aaas.org/support).
