Collecting your stories and memories here will offer us great comfort. Our loving brother, cousin and friend, Melvin Connor Junior, passed away on Wednesday April 29th, 2020. Melvin was born on December 5, 1957, one of seven children who grew up in Little Rock Arkansas. Later the family move to Omaha Nebraska, and then on to Minneapolis Minnesota where he spent his adult life. Affectionately known by his family as “Bubby”, people knew him as a friendly outgoing person who would talk to anyone and everyone, lighting up the room with his laugh and smile. Melvin LOVED music and spent many weekends dancing to the tunes of his favorite artists such as Chic, Parliament, Earth Wind & Fire, and Teddy Pendergrass, just to name a few. While growing up with his family and cousins in Minneapolis, one of their favorite pass times was cookouts and barbequing. Melvin’s loved cooking and his ribs were outstanding. Sports, including, golf, basketball and tennis were just a few of his hobbies. However, cars were his real love. Occasionally, he’d put pedal to metal by racing his cousins down Hwy 94 was a memorable event. We are very sad to lose such a loving man so early is his life. He will forever be in our hearts at peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus, in heaven.
