Mary Louise (Cass) Tice of Lakewood, CO passed away January 16, 2022 surrounded by her three loving children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Evelyn Cass, her husband Robert Tice, and her brother William Cass.

Mary was born April 13, 1935 in Denver.  She attended Colorado State University where she met the love of her life, Robert Tice.  They were married April 13, 1958.  Bob’s career with the US Forest Service took them to Centennial, WY; Alamosa, CO; Denver, CO; Chadron, NE and back to Denver.

Mary was an active community member.  She was involved in both the Girl Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America in Chadron.   She was active in Women’s Club, DAR, Theta Alumni, South High Alumni, United Methodist Women, and Park Hill Athenium Club.  She also volunteered at the Colorado Historical Society.

After raising her children, Mary worked for the US Census Bureau, Broadcast Information, and the IRS.

Mary is survived by her three children Neil (Sally) Tice of Ridgeway, CO; Susan (Craig) Witte of Kalispell, MT; and Cynthia (Paul) Weers of Littleton, CO; six grandchildren Jeremy (Jess) Tice, Jenna (Jeremy) Appleton, Andrew (Kate), Alexis (James Sattler) and Augustus Witte, and Eric Weers; and six great grandchildren, Callum and Evelina Tice, Paisley Witte, Blair and Margot Sattler, and Ryatt Witte-Musialowski.

Mary was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her family was very important to her and she was always there to help in any way she could.  She was always so proud of everyone’s accomplishments.  She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lutheran Medical Center’s ER and ICU for the amazing care they gave to Mary and her family.

A celebration of life will be held in Denver at a later date.
