Mary Christine Meden was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, wife, neighbor, and (cat) mother. While born in Colorado, Mary was a true Californian, living around the Bay Area and Sacramento regions (and everywhere in between) for the majority of her life. Mary had a vivacious personality and an infectious laugh that lit up every room. She often held court with lively stories from growing up in San Anselmo with her siblings Mike, Pat, and Becky, living and working in the Bay Area (many of which include her sister-in-law, Nancy), and about the numerous and unique suitors she had throughout her life.
Mary's defining characteristic was her compassion for others, both human and animal. She was incredibly thoughtful and always spent time and energy to make those in her life feel special. In particular, Mary shared a special bond with her mother, Brownie, that included many laughs, fabulous sunglasses, and a lot of animal print. She loved animals, taking care of many in need, and serving as a mother to some very lucky kitties: Bea, Bobi, Sheeba, Cricket, Gidget, Sookie, FeeBea, and BeeBee. In addition, she had a proclivity for the paranormal and believed in the spiritual and psychic forces in our world. If you feel her presence - know she's watching over you with love as one of heaven's most fabulous angels.
Mary Christine, you are so missed.
