I speak now as Claire Seller, Marijke's youngest daughter. My mum was always so full of life, love and care.
I worked as an actor for ten years, and would be sure that Mum would come and see me perform the same show multiple times, tell all her friends, and alert the papers at the slightest opportunity. The support she gave me throughout my acting career, right through to returning to study my Masters and find a PhD programme, was fierce and faultless. Without Mum, I would not have half the opportunities and successes I have had, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Mum emanated a glorious energy, loving and nurturing everyone and everything she encountered. Her generosity was endless; every life achievement would be celebrated with a card acknowledging my success and her love, and any opportunity she had to help, Mum would be there with ideas, with plans, and with excitement. She was also absolutely mad, encouraging my bear obsession and joining me in my make-believe world. Due to Covid restrictions we were not allowed to see her until the very end. I dropped Barnaby, one of my teddy bears to the hospital to keep Mum company. Before Mum went in for her craniotomy, she messaged saying "Barnaby is in his element with all the pretty nurses".
I love you always my beautiful loving Mum X
