OBITUARY
Margarida (Gretli) Hanni Zumwalt of El Cajon California, loving wife and mother, former high school teacher and community leader, passed away at the age of 94.  She is survived by her children and their spouses, Frances, Sue, Jim, Ann and Barbara. Born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Margarida grew up in Switzerland and arrived in California to join her husband James Gregory Zumwalt in 1953.  Please see the events tab for information about...  see more

    I had Mrs. Zumwalt for four years at GHHS 74 to 77. I always enjoyed her class she was a very nice lady. She used to have me bring my Alto Sax to Class and play O Tannenbaum at Christmas time. I also enjoyed her husband Mr. Zumwalt for Civics class.
