Shrimathi Maduram Subrahmanyam, beloved wife of the late Shri S. Subrahmanyam, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2025, in Coimbatore, India. She is survived by her devoted sons, Sriram and Kumar, and her cherished daughter, Lakshmi. Maduram was the embodiment of love, patience, and resilience, touching the lives of all who knew her. As a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, she radiated warmth and kindness, always greeting others with a ready smile and a delightful sense of humor.
Maduram was born on January 7, 1933, in Madras to Smt. Meenakshi Ambal and Shri O. S. Venkatraman Iyer. She did her schooling in Madras. Maduram married Shri S. Subrahmanyam in 1955. Together, they shared a beautiful life and raised five children: Visalakshi, Srinivasan, Sriram, Kumar, and Lakshmi. For most of her life, Maduram resided in Bhilai, where she nurtured her family while supporting her husband during his long and successful career at the Bhilai Steel Plant.
Maduram was a pillar of strength for her extended family, which included the families of her seven sisters-in-law and her three siblings. Her home was a sanctuary for countless relatives and friends, always welcoming and filled with love. The warmth of her kitchen, often alive with the aroma of her legendary cooking, was a testament to her tireless hospitality. She opened her home to all, day and night, embodying genuine care and compassion for everyone who crossed her threshold.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Mita Christine, grandson Ajeeth, son-in-law Ramesh, daughter-in-law jayshree.
Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she watches over us with her blessings. Maduram's life serves as a shining inspiration, a testament to love, devotion, and unwavering support for all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence.
