OBITUARY

This memorial was created in honor of Lynda Joy Gammill Beaner of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Lynda was born on January 20, 1949 in Wichita Falls and passed on October 29, 2021. She had a smile that could light up any room and loved to laugh and share the joy she had in her heart. Her... see moreThis memorial was created in honor of Lynda Joy Gammill Beaner of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Lynda was born on January 20, 1949 in Wichita Falls and passed on October 29, 2021. She had a smile that could light up any room and loved to laugh and share the joy she had in her heart. Most of Lynda’s free time was spent doing the things she loved, such as being outside with horses, gardening, riding bikes, walking and enjoying nature. Her grandchildren believed her backyard was a magical place and say that Grandma Lynda’s house was always one of their favorite places growing up. Lynda was an adventurous soul, not only did she ride horses but she even broke a few young horses as well. She learned how to fly planes and enjoyed traveling across the skies free as a bird. She liked to travel on bikes as well. Not only did she ride a bicycle as often as she could, she also got her motorcycle license and enjoyed riding her scooter around. Lynda and Tom had many adventures together in their 17 years of marriage. They met at a wedding party in 2003 and Tom proposed to Lynda the next year on a ski trip. They started their life together with a honeymoon to Turks and Caicos and never stopped traveling around to see beautiful places. She loved trips to the mountains and ocean. Some of her favorite times were spent in Connecticut clamming and finding new lighthouses. She was proud of her collection of lighthouse souvenirs and shells. Lynda was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, but her passion for life and her contagious curiosity was no different with this. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life to the fullest and not letting anything get in her way. Her selflessness didn't just being after her diagnosis - she has been this way her whole life, putting others first and wanting to be a rock for her family and friends. Lynda lived her life with a passion for love and acceptance of all people. She often would say being a Christian and following Christ is the main point of life and she exemplified this by praising God and loving others. We are so grateful to have had her as such an incredible example of kindness, honesty, and strength. Her daughters have always thought of her as their hero. They feel like they grew up with the most incredible role model who taught them to always be themselves. All who knew her will miss her smile, her laugh, her wise advice, and her kind and thoughtful personality. Lynda lived her life seeing the beauty in all things - the beautiful sunset, beautiful sunrise, beautiful cloudy day.
