My Bride, My Love, My Heart, Letti Petito, passed away on December 18, 2020. I held her hand, caressed her forehead and told her how much we all love her. I told her she was now in charge. Together we walked hand in hand through marriage and life. We would walk through this together too. Shortly after, the greatest heart, the biggest heart I’ve ever known beat for the last time. Her greatest love in life were her Sons, Al Seiter and Ian Seiter. To her, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother of two fine men. Her greatest daily joy was caring for her four dogs, she loved every one of them, past and present, as if they were her child. Her extensive family in the Philippines also mourns the loss of this wonderful soul. She lost touch for many years with the family in the Philippines, but then through the aid of social media, was able to reconnect and return to the Philippines to reunite with her family. This brought her much joy.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide for Hospice the last 15 years, she cared for each of her patients as if they were family. She gave them dignity, caring, and love during their final days.  She cried and grieved the loss of each of her patients. My wife immigrated to the United States from the Philippine Islands. She became an American Citizen, and more importantly, evolved to be a true patriot.

She was hospitalized on November 15th with Covid-19. The disease quickly and invasively overwhelmed her lungs, shortly after she required a ventilator to survive. After 21 or so days on a ventilator and every course of treatment available, it was all just too much for her body to withstand.

Our Family asks that, in remembrance of Letti, every day and especially during this Holiday Season, that you each hug your loved ones just a little longer, and just a little tighter than usual.
