Leslie Lorraine Thacker Gossett was born in Kansas City, MO on May 6, 1980 to Linda Lane and Gregory Thacker. She departed this world on January 24, 2021 in Huntsville, AL. She was the loving wife of Michael Gossett and stepmother to Gabe and Sam Gossett, whom she committed herself to and deeply loved.
Her passion was anything to do with horses. During her youth, she competed in Equestrian Eventing with her favorite horse, Espirit. She loved sports, especially football, and even converted Michael from a Cowboy to a Chief.
Her favorite place on earth was Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, FL, where she spent many fun times with her mother, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory and leaves behind her husband Michael, stepsons, Gabe and Sam, her mother, Linda, stepfather, Bill Kaska along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
During her time living in Florida, she volunteered with SMART an organization that strives to improve the quality of lives through therapeutic horseback riding. A memorial fund has been set up honoring Leslie. Donations can be made to Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy at 4640 County Rd 675 Bradenton, FL 34211 or website smart@smartriding.org
Leslie (L) will be remembered for many wonderful traits but most of all, her fun-loving personality. She could take a frown and turn it into a smile.
Always in our hearts and forever on our mind. Safe travels!!
