May God's peace and the love and support of loved ones comfort you during this time. The service was beautiful and thank you for sharing the beautiful photos of your Mom.
In addition to being a brilliant woman, your Mom was one of the most beautiful, generous and caring people I've ever known. I so loved and enjoyed our long conversations when Kamili and I would come to your house :-) Like Yolanda, I am so blessed to have known her and been able to call her my friend. One memory I will always remember is when my car had to be in the shop for an extended time and your Mom let me borrow her extra car. Do you remember that? I can't tell you how shocked I was that she was willing to do that and how very much I appreciated it. She was kind beyond words. Another thing I appreciate is her sharing with me the recipe for her awesome enchiladas, which is still one of my favorites today. :-)
The last time that I got to see Faye was when she was in the rehabilitation hospital after her stroke before you brought her to live with you in D.C. I went with Yolanda to see her. She was such a fighter and had such a strong spirit. She was alert and remembered us, and thanked us for coming to see her. I am so grateful that I got to go and be with her during that time. And I am so glad that you all had more time together. Please take care and know that I love you still and am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Special Tribute from Eddie Sherrod
To Vicky, and all the members of the Stubblefield family, please allow me to express my heart felted condolences and sympathy in lost of Latoria Faye Stubblefield. A remarkable, elegant, academically bright, intelligent Lady. When I met her for the first time, the athletes and I were standing in our usually area in the Student Union Building harassing the young freshman and I saw this young lady wearing a red coat and said “Wow”, who is this young lady in the red coat? A as she drew nearer and being a Junior and well known athlete I called and said “ Lady in red coat”, come here! She looked in amazement and I was sure she was wondering who this guy calling me, however she came to where I was standing and I Introduced myself and she told me who she was and I commented about the Red coat and as I was talking to her I noticed how poised she was and she looked me in the eye as we talked. I also told her how impressed I was with her elegant she was and how she walked with so much Confidence. That is how we became friends and I knew she was definitely wrapped at that early age in success. I was not surprised about her many achievements for she was a special person. I am very proud of the relationship we shared and I know she is at peace in her Heavenly home with the Lord! May God lift the family with loving care as we celebrate Faye’s life? Sincerely Eddie Sherrod, AM&N Class of 1964 less
