You had a knack of bringing your positivity as well as your sense of competition to the soccer pitch, and this combination made you someone who inspired me to work harder on the field but to also remember to have fun. From our shared moments together — the walks back to Burton Connor after soccer practice, the jokes as we sat side-by-side in the locker room, the many times I asked you for advice about course 2, and more — you are tightly woven into the fabric of my memories of MIT, and I am grateful to have been your teammate. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with so many of us. You are truly missed. less

Thank you for your hard work, dedication and positivity during your time here at MIT and as part of the soccer team. You were a great teammate to play with, a tougher opponent to play against and always guaranteed to give it all. You were a Champions League machine (first player to win three times in a row)! A juggling aficionado. And just a true lover of the game. You are missed dearly No. 22. less

You had the most wonderful smile, were a formidable opponent on the field (I remember many a tough matchup against you in the Champion's League Mike referenced), and worked so incredibly hard at everything you did. When I recall our friendship, I will reflect fondly on Halloween dress up days, chillin on B2, hanging in the locker room, and our odd warm-up dances on the field. I was very lucky to have had you as a teammate and may you rest in peace. -Kaitlyn less

When I picture you, it's never without a smile. It's teammates like you that make me look back on my MIT soccer experience so fondly. From challenging games and practices to readily learning dances in the locker room and team bonding in BC, and everything in between, you were always so positive and willing to be there for your teammates no matter what that meant. Your passion and drive on and off the field were inspiring and you are so very missed. With love, Sam. less

Dear friend with the wild hair, always-on smile, unmistakable laugh, and endless talents. Going through photos to decide what to post here reminds me of what an amazing and well-rounded friend you were. You were there for some of my fondest college memories, and it was impossible to be around you and not have fun. I love that you were heavily involved in so many different communities. Everyone loved you. Your interests and communities were varied, yet you were consistent in joy, curiosity, humility, compassion, adventure, and spunk. If I wanted to do something fun and adventurous, I knew you would always be down.
Here are some of my favorite memories with you:
* Making a spin-sensitive light up football and staining our hands black for weeks with the foam we used to cast it, then dropping it from the top of Building 7 to see if it would break. Getting to be teammates with you in 2.00B made that one of my favorite class experiences of all time.
* So many all nighters in BC working on impossible 18.03 psets...I didn't mind them because they were always filled with laughter and shenanigans. Not to mention that you were brilliant and determined to finish and understand the psets all the way to the last line. I swear you didn't know the word "quit".
* All things soccer...bus rides, juggling at practice, Flannel Friday, team parties, talent shows, dominating on the field. You were tenacious and rock solid on the field and I never liked having to defend or being defended by you.
* Just Dance, movie nights, p-set parties, pancakes, and Kool Aid on B2.
The world is less bright without you here. You are very missed. less

I remember you waking up at the crack of dawn to meet me. We chatted for an hour in a kitchen in BC and you me about all about your life before we head to your 8.01 lecture. From BC parties to off-season training, you always pushed me (and our team) to get our there work harder, try new things, and have more fun. When things were good, you'd make it 10x more fun and when things were rough you'd always take the time to talk.
Thank you for being a fantastic person, friend, and teammate -- I'm going to miss you! less
Kiele, your work ethic on the field was incredible. You were so strong and focused, and brought such a supportive and driven energy to the team. Rest in peace, you will be greatly missed by the MIT soccer family. <3

I remember doing planks alongside you in the weight room and admiring your focus - eyes zoned in on your hand in the air, body straight as a board. I also remember the fun of being your partner sitting on your legs as you cranked out back extensions in the gym. You were an incredibly hard worker and inspired me and others to want to be better and stronger.
You also brought a sense of enthusiasm and fun to everything you did. I smile at the picture of us together in party hats freshman year - you had a way of bringing the fun out of each and every moment and set an example of what is means to live each moment of life fully. You always had a way of finding the fun things to do and making time for them, while also prioritizing studying and learning.
Thank you for sharing your smile, laugh, incredible drive, and infectious energy with me and so many others :) To a wonderful teammate and inspiring person: you will be forever missed. less

I mean after all, you were the sole inspiration for an entire season's team mailing address name. If that doesn't scream "great energy" then I don't know what does. One of my favorite things about you was your positive attitude. You always pumped up and went all in on any crazy ideas/projects that the team came up with. A lot of them were mine so I really appreciated the back-up and support :D
Now also seems like a good time to remind everyone that you were the single-most highly decorated player of our time (maybe even all time) when it came to being awarded the most honorable accolade that could be garnered from this team: Champion's League Champion! I was lucky enough to join you on two of your three winning teams (Team We A'ight and Team MW). Both times we played together, our team was simultaneously the greatest team in the league and the most hated by all other teams #theyhateuscuztheyaintus
I also loved that the Women's Soccer Team wasn't your only (or even main) identity. You threw yourself wholly into other communities as well. You were always so energetic when running events for your floor in Burton-Conner. You showed both current residents and pre-frosh the fun tight-knit community where you had found home. It was great seeing you share your enthusiasm!
P.S. I really wish I had an action shot from one of our team dance performances to share. Those were a great example of you being all in on the crazy ideas less

You were a rock solid center mid and I remember dreading you pushing me over during soccer practice (which would happen pretty much every day… thankfully you motivated me to actually hit the weight room). I admired your academic focus and commitment to learning over grades, your social energy, and your willingness to speak your mind.
I remember this random moment where Michaelann was trying to convince the team to stop by Krispy Kreme on the way back from the NCAA tournament. It was truly a bad idea and hardly a short detour, but the team was a little too donut-crazed at the time to see that. You vehemently opposed the idea in order to get us home on time (thank you for being the only voice of reason!)
You were uninhibited and always down for an adventure - the quirkier, the better. This truly embodied the MIT spirit. You inspired me to be a little bolder and a little less concerned about other people’s opinions. Thank you for inspiring me. less
