On Sunday, August 23, 2020, Kenneth L. Sellers II, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and son, passed away at the age of 50.
Ken was born in Baltimore, MD, on April 1, 1970, to Kenneth L. Sellers and Catherine A. Sellers. He attended North Harford High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1991, where he honorably served active duty for five years and in the reserves for three years. On March 6, 1994, he married Debra McAuley Sellers. Together they raised two children, Amanda and Brett.
Ken worked for Jacobs Technology at the Aberdeen Test Center on Aberdeen Proving Grounds for 17 years as a marine mechanic on the watercraft patrol fleet. He also served as a union shop steward. He was an active member of Bel Air United Methodist Church, serving as an usher and communion steward. Ken volunteered as a Cub Scout leader and Little League baseball coach. He loved to read Stephen King novels, cheer on his Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, and tinker with tools in his garage. He traveled with his family and most loved their time spent in the Bahamas. He loved his family and was extraordinarily proud of his children.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Sellers. He is survived by his mother, Catherine; brother, Keith; wife, Debra; children, Amanda and Brett; and many family and friends.
