This was especially evident on our wedding day, when he insisted that his gift would be, buying the alcohol for everyone at the reception. He was determined and nothing we said could change his mind.
This same love and generosity of spirit was again shown to us, when Gordon was hospitalized for surgery in February last year. Ken wanted to be here with us both, and drove down from Orange, alone, to support us. He wasn't keeping well himself at this time, but once again, insisted. It meant a great deal to Gordon, and I loved having his company, during a very stressful time.
So many wonderful memories of times shared with you Uncle Ken - from Dapto days, New Year parties in Tarrawanna & many trips to Orange. Always with a smile, a tune to play on your piano accordion & a big warm hug. For me personally, Kenny had a profound and positive impact on my life. He was an extraordinary father-in-law whom invested joy and excitation into both Elissa and I and his grandchildren Connie, Seth, Evangelina and Theodora. In my final conversation with Kenny he remarked at how proud he was of his daughters and their achievements. It is indeed a legacy to be proud of. His one request is that we, as son-in-laws, continue to love and continue to care and cherish his daughters and his wonderful wife, Sandra. This request will be a absolutely honoured, Kenny. We love you mate and will miss you dearly; moreover, we know that your soul rests with the Almighty in Heaven now. See you again one day Dad/Pop. less

I can't thank you enough for being the uncle and absolute gentleman that you were, Uncle Kenny. Loved your scotched eggs and your Devon but also loved to tell a tall tale and always made me laugh every time I saw you. You always promised me that game of Tenpin bowling and some day when we meet again I promise to let you smash me like you always said you would. You'll always be the better golfer though! Let's not talk about navigating around trees on the course at Mendeooran.
Until we meet again, champion. It's not goodbye. It's see you later. With love to you, Aunty Sandra, and family
Farewell Uncle Ken. Will always remember the get togethers, games of sport, your words of wisdom and cheeky comments. Stay strong Aunty Sandra, Louise, Michelle & Elissa. Our thoughts are with you. Love Gav, Bernie, Callum & Catriona
