Ken Morano was born on January 27th 1979 in Mongolia where her family was stationed while her father was in the Soviet army. She grew up in Minsk, Belarus and emigrated to the United States in 1988 once her father passed away. Ken spent her childhood years in Brooklyn, NY and decided to pursue her education in art.  

She attended Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY graduating in 2001, and furthered her education at Stony Brook University Dental School with her dental degree in 2005. After finishing her dental education, Ken entered into a General Practice Residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. It was during her residency in NYC where she met her husband and subsequently, they moved to Charlotte to start their family and career. Ken is survived by her husband and two daughters. Spending quality time with them was her greatest joy. She enjoyed everything about the outdoors. It was her passion to teach the kids the value of the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, bike riding, raising her chickens, but most of all, spending time cultivating and growing her garden with the children.  

Ken touched so many lives with her seemingly endless warmth and compassion. Her positive influence on everyone she knew will continue to live on and be her legacy.
