Heaven is blessed to receive such a kind soul.
Kathy was born in San Mateo, California October 16, 1961. When we were growing up, Mom called Kathy "The pretty one". She was also the sweetest kid, and at age 6 claimed she wanted to grow up to be a nun. Well that may not have ended up being her path but she was an angel.
There weren’t that many facets to Kathy, pretty much what you saw was genuine. She was calm, quiet, kind, stubborn, and a creature of habit. She hated change and settled into a content life working at Anixter for 44 years with people she adored and considered family. She looked forward to coming home, watching her taped soaps on TV, with a smoke, coke and smile.
Kathy seemed happiest when she was with her nephew's Alex and Matty. She devoted most of her vacation and holidays to spending time with them. When she wasn't with them she enjoyed eating out with with her friends and taking trips with family.
She also LOVED Elvis, Oakland Raiders and Nascar. She created memorabilia shrines to each in her spare room where she enjoyed the many memories of concerts, games and races she attended with family and friends.
Although it feels God called on her too soon, I feel relieved she didn’t have to go through any more suffering her cancer had in store. I’m also forever grateful to mom who was able to be there and take amazing care of her. If it wasn’t for her we would have lost Kathy 4 years ago and those years have been so precious for all of us to let her know how much we loved her.
