Joyce W. Smiles
Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in her 99th year. Beloved sister of Dorothy, aunt of Brian (Maureen), Jaqueline, and Rick (Sandra); great aunt of Tara, Regan (Todd), Adam (Amy), and Bronwen (Daniel) and great, great aunt of Jonah, Freya, Talia, Willa, and Jay. Predeceased by her loving sister Marjory and brothers Edward, Douglas and Joseph.
Joyce filled each of her 98 years with family, friends, and fun, sharing her infectious smile with everyone she met. Her positive outlook and tenacious work ethic led to a true example of a life well lived; from her work as bookkeeper and office manager at the Canadian Urban Centre, to her involvement at St. Monica’s Anglican Church and her many social connections including the IOGTs, Joyce brought joy to everything and everyone she touched.
