Our beloved Joan Leslie Weissler Murphy, 72, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on November 7, 2020.  She was born in Scarsdale, NY, on October 15, 1948. Joanie was graduated from Hunter College in New York City, where she majored in mathematics, and received a Bachelors of Arts degree in math and education. Throughout her career, she taught math in junior high school in Yonkers, NY. All of her students knew her as a demanding instructor who cared deeply about them.

She is survived by her two sons, Jason Siegel and Brian Murphy, her sister Vicki Weissler Horn, her brother-in-law Jeff Horn, her daughter-in-law Julia Lynch Siegel, her husband Spyros, her step-children Constantine, Sophia and Michelle Kateris, and her granddaughters Ellie, Helena and Ava.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Beth David cemetery in Elmont, NY, on Thursday November 12.
