If you can pardon the very timely pun, there was something wonderfully infectious about Jo's personality. The trademark laugh, the warm smile, and a lifetime's worth of selfless acts.
I passionately feel that being open and sharing your feelings can literally be the difference between life and death, and that is the most valuable legacy we can all take from the most tragic of endings to my Jo’s life that everybody can benefit from.
She was a warm, funny, selfless, and eternally understanding individual who would love to be remembered for the boundless love she shared with so many people.
To celebrate the life of a person who touched so many, the most fitting tribute is to please keep talking, always be open, and share your feelings.
Please share your lasting memories and tributes to Jo that we will be sharing at our virtual memorial service. Please click on 'Memories & Condolences' and type in your favourite stories, memories, and thoughts about Jo - a photo and video would be wonderful, too! You are welcome to either join us for this service (full details below) or read the tributes in your own time as people share them on this website.
It is with this in mind that we would like to plan a virtual gathering at 4pm on the day of Jo's funeral (Wednesday 15 April) to share the lasting memories and tributes for those whose lives she touched so that we can laugh and smile at how the beautiful life that she chose to lead crossed paths and shaped our own. Full details of how to join this and RSVP are on this page.
We will, of course, still be warmly inviting you to a Service of Thanksgiving once these challenging times are over, but hope that the chance to join our Virtual Celebration of Life can help you in some way.
It is very fitting that Mum so dearly loved dogs and that the black dog has become a symbol for raising awareness of mental health. All donations will be going to The Black Dog campaign powered by SANE, a mental health charity: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/remembering-jo-draper
