Jeffrey Thomas Happ, 55, of Odessa, TX, passed away at approximately 9:40 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital due to complications of coronary bypass surgery.
Born August 13, 1965, in Harlan, KY, to Thomas Happ and Betty (Cornett) Happ, Jeff never married or had children. Nevertheless, he had a big, generous heart, a witty (sometimes corny) sense of humor, and he was much loved by his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his father, Thomas Happ; his mother since he was 13 months old, Patricia Happ; his five sisters, Cathy (David) Smith, Michelle Crawford, Julia (Jeff) Woods, Sara (Graham) Hepburn, and Tori (Steve) Bradford; his brother, Tim Happ (Sam Sinding); nine nephews and eight nieces; two great nephews and one great niece; as well as Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jeff was preceeded in death by Betty Happ Tatro, his grandparents, and two uncles, Bruce Happ and Denny Untz.
Throughout his life, Jeff worked at a variety of jobs, including as a cook at Godfather’s Pizza, driving for a courier service, driving a taxi cab, over-the-road trucking, auto parts delivery driver, and as an Automatic Door Service Technician.
Jeff's hobbies were designing and writing video games and composing poetry. And, eating Blue Bell Ice Cream, of course!
His dream was to buy a motorcycle and join BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse). His heart was deeply touched whenever he learned of a woman or child in need, especially those who had suffered abuse. His generosity knew no bounds, and he preferred to give money away, rather than accumulate material goods. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
