Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend Jeffery (Jeff) Alvin Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 71 surrounded by loved ones in Langley, BC on March 29, 2023.
Jeff will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 49 years, Judy; children Jennifer (Shaun) and Jay (Ashley); his grandson (and best fishing buddy) Andrew; and sisters Carol (Walt) and Anne (George). He will also be missed by the many friends he made over the years including those at the Bayfield Lions Club, his various fishing buddies, and recently, his Langley neighborhood park friends and their dogs. Jeff was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Mary.
Originally from Cambridge ON, Jeff spent many amazing years in Ontario raising his family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage on Lake Huron that he and Judy had for 25 years. He loved spending time with his grandson, fishing, classic cars, watching sports games, and he spent decades at Uniroyal Goodrich where he made good friends.
In 2016 Jeff and Judy moved across the country to BC to be closer to their family, including grandson, Andrew, who is happy they had 7 years together. Andrew’s favourite memory is the last time he and his grandpa went fishing together.
Jeff had a zest for life, was easygoing, and enjoyed being outdoors and embracing each day. He loved all animals, especially the many dogs he and Judy had over the years. You could often find him and his furry companion Reba at the park down the street.
Thank you to all of the Langley hospital nurses, doctors, and paramedics who were involved in Jeff’s care. And thank you to the doctors and nurses who helped in his care in 2019, giving him more great years with his family.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BCSPCA, or your local SPCA/other animal rescue organization in Jeff’s honour.
