It is with inexpressible sadness that the Sangrey family announces the death of Jay L. Sangrey. He passed on December 20th, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Jay graduated from Cherry Hill High School West and achieved a Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University. Jay met his wife, Julie and immediately knew she was the one. Their love welcomed into this world, Ryan, their son, and shortly after their daughter, Brooke. Our family moved to Cherry Hill, NJ and Jay relished in his life there as a husband, father and carpenter. His light was radiant and his warmth felt deeply by everyone who crossed his path.

During his last few months, Jay fought courageously against an unexpected cancer diagnosis. We all watched in awe as he remained just as joyful, funny and optimistic as he always was. Though he was taken from this earth far too soon, the impact he left is felt by all that knew him. Jay's inspirational life will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Julie, his son, Ryan, his daughter, Brooke, and his sisters, Jill and Joyce. Predeceased by his wonderful mother and father, Joseph and Jean. His memory is held close by his extended family, including his sisters and brothers through the love of marriage, his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His chosen family and friends will forever remember the imprint he left on them and the kindness they felt from a him. Jay is immensely loved and his presence will be so sadly missed.
