We lost a brother, uncle, friend and kind heart on October 26th, 2022 at the young age of 52.
Jamie was fondly known as a gentle giant to his friends and community and a generous spirit to all. No matter what life challenges he encountered on his life path, he would always offer a helping hand, a big smile and a positive attitude.
Jamie was born in in Saint John, New Brunswick on January 10th, 1970. Fondly known by his late grandfather as "skipper" for skipping stones talent.
His family later moved to Canmore, Alberta where he enjoyed ski school in his elementary years. Another move to Red Deer, Alberta where he found his love of hockey, spending hours with friends on the flooded rink at Aspen Heights elementary and later competing at a high level.
He later came to BC and Vancouver Island in his adult years to be closer to his family. He found home in Victoria BC where he spent the last 15 years active with AVI Health Services and Cool Aid Society, both organizations who were near and dear to his heart.
He was a kind soul and will be missed.
A celebration of his life will be held at Sands Funeral Home, 1803 Quadra St, Victoria, BC on January 10th, 2023 at 1:30pm. All welcome.
In lieu of flowers, please support the important work of AVI Health Services and the Cool Aid Society who provide community support to the most vulnerable offering housing, kindness and compassion.
