Jackie Ratliff, born on July 17th, 1951, to Jack and Claudine Ratliff, passed away on July 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a zest for life.
Jackie spent over 20 years in San Antonio as a beloved hairstylist and owner of her own salon, Shear Magic. In 1989, she courageously closed the doors of her salon and moved with her son Allan to California to be closer to her sister Rhonda, and her nephew, Shawn. In California, Jackie successfully transitioned into the home loans business, showcasing her versatility and determination.
In 2003, Jackie sold her condo in San Clemente and moved back to San Antonio, enabling her to be closer to her family, especially her dear mother.
Jackie retired around 2019, but her retirement was far from idle.
Seeking a more active and social lifestyle, she moved to the Sage Stone Oak Community in 2022. In her golden years, Jackie thrived at Sage, making countless friends and enjoying coffee and Friday socials in the clubhouse. Her time at Sage was marked by joy, camaraderie, and a celebration of life.
Jackie is survived by her son Allan, his significant other Nancy and her grand dog Emma, her sister Rhonda and brother-in-law Hank, her sister Diane and brother-in-law David and her favorite nephew Shawn, his wife Alicia and their two beautiful children, Bella and Bryce. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Renee.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments spent with her.
Jackie's warmth, resilience, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
