Iva Julia Ross, age 91, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12 at her daughter’s home in Wilsonville, Oregon. Iva, or as she liked to be called, Ivy, was born February 3, 1930 in Victor, Idaho. She married Don C. Ross in 1950.
Ivy truly lived a happy and fulfilled life, living for spending time with her friends and family, traveling, golfing, playing cards, watching her beloved westerns and drinking a glass of her favorite wine and eating a steak dinner. Ivy also worked as a waitress for most of her working life, a job she treasured and always prided herself on doing well.
The true measure of Ivy stems from the many lives she touched, a woman whose warmth, unconditional love, caring attitude, dedication to family and friends, work ethic, positive and giving attitude, vibrancy, and a joyful sense of humor left an imprint on everyone she met. Truly, Ivy had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her four children, Kirk Ross, Korren Dir, Robbin Cecchini, and Reagan Ross and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family, friends, and others whose lives Ivy touched and who wish to reminisce and celebrate the life of our beloved Ivy are encouraged to leave their thoughts about Ivy here on this memorial to her.
