A loving humanitarian, Ino Walter Sylman is known for his generosity, integrity, protective nature and his dedication to his family.
Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, Ino came to the US at age 13, learned English and proudly served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne. After his honorable discharge, he attended Teterboro School of Aeronautics and graduated with a technical degree in Aviation.
In 1968, Ino began working as an aircraft maintenance mechanic for Trans World Airlines where he was to spend his entire career. Ino had an admirable work ethic and was promoted to Supervisor then to Manager of Airport Operations for TWA at JFK Airport.
Work titles were nice, but Ino's most cherished titles were Dad and Opa. Spending time with his daughter and grandchildren always warmed his heart.
Son of the late Sophie and Cyril Sylman, Ino is lovingly remembered by his daughter Natalie, grandchildren Evan and Kennedy, siblings Elaine, Judith, Franklin, George (deceased), Myra, Kenneth and Milton, sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
