Ian Thomas Reid passed away at his home in Charlottetown in his 71st year.  Born in Toronto Canada, he lived a full life residing in Sault Ste. Marie ON, Sudbury ON, Simcoe ON, Ojai CA and eventually settling down in Charlottetown NL. 

Ian is predeceased by his parents John Fergus and Eileen Maude Reid.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted partner Jennie; son Robert (Linn); daughters, Stephanie (Chris), Anne (John); his beloved grandchildren, Autumn, Levi and Benjamin; brother Blair (Tracy), former spouse Mildred Reid (Atkinson), and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his extended family stepsons, Trevor (Wanda), Dion (Althea), Dennis (Wendy), grandchildren, Hope, Matt, Austin, Grant, Ethan, Elizabeth, Jordan, Abigail; great-granddaughter Ava; and a wide circle of family and friends. 

Ian was an active member of every community he lived in, loved history and telling stories. He is well known for his humour, kindness, generosity and always a joke to put a smile on your face.

Ian was laid to rest at United Church, Charlottetown on Friday, April 15, 2022.
