Howard "Ned" Cole, 79, of Salida, CA passed away on January 26, 2021. Howard was born on August 29, 1941 in Antlers, OK to the late Latso and Lorene Cole. Howard was baptized into Christ on July 4th, 1965 and at the time of his passing he was a member of the Church of Christ on Sherman Ave. in Manteca, CA. Howard was also a devoted family man who dedicated his life to serving his family in a myriad of ways. Howard was especially good at making every person he came across feel loved and valued. His bear hugs and warm embraces brought every one into his heart and made them feel as if they were his own. Howard worked hard as a drywall contractor for 60 years. Howard was also an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting, and camping. If he wasn't working, he could usually be found at New Melones or Mossdale Landing "wackin em and stackin em" as he would say. He loved to spend his time on the water with his family, often taking his grandkids, giving them the most precious and fun memories. His legacy of love will live on through his family and friends for years to come.
Howard is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 55 years, his daughters Rachel (Greg) and Rebecca (Monte), and his son Aaron (Jill); his eight grandchildren Cole (Hannah), Lane (Lexis), Wade (Taylor), Kendra, Ainsley, Addisyn, Sydney, and Aiden; and great grand baby Branch coming soon; and two brothers Jim & Roger Cole.
A graveside service will be held at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, CA on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving extra at your local Church of Christ or see the Charity given on this website.
