OBITUARY
Dr Ho Lok Fun (何樂勳) passed away peacefully on 22 February 2022, at the age of 70. A graduate of Wah Yan College (Kowloon), he went on to complete his medical degree at The University of Hong Kong in 1976. For over 40 years, Dr Ho Lok Fun served as a medical doctor, beloved by friends, family, and the community.

Dr Ho Lok Fun (何樂勳) passed away peacefully on 22 February 2022, at the age of 70. A graduate of Wah Yan College (Kowloon), he went on to complete his medical degree at The University of Hong Kong in 1976. For over 40 years, Dr Ho Lok Fun served as a medical doctor, beloved by friends, family, and the community.
Besides excelling in his medical studies and practice, he was also an avid sportsman since his university days. He loved taking part in all kinds of sports, from track and field to soccer, squash, tennis, and even billiards. The numerous awards and medals he won at sports competitions were proof that his keen love of sports never waned, even in his later years. In his spare time, he took time for friends and family, in particular taking delight in playing with his grandchildren and enjoying mahjong and photography.
Dr Ho was a proud father of two sons, Daniel and Brian, a caring father-in-law to Silky, and a happy grandfather of two adorable grandchildren, Emmeline and Christopher.
Ho Lok Fun is one of the few WYK I manage to keep in touch before the internet got more of us back together. He is the classical quiet achiever. Engaging in many things in life. Doing them well, helpful. Always calm without hyperbole.

With profound sorrow, I learnt about the passing of Lok fun, my dear cousin. Some 70 years ago, we lived and grew up together in the same household in Shamshuipo. He was always a brother to me, if not more.

I was never in the same class with Dr Ho at Wah Yan College, Kowloon even though we were in the same year but we knew each other in school and I remember fondly his captivating smile and his polite manners. Ah Fun (his nickname at Wah Yan) was always... moreI was never in the same class with Dr Ho at Wah Yan College, Kowloon even though we were in the same year but we knew each other in school and I remember fondly his captivating smile and his polite manners. Ah Fun (his nickname at Wah Yan) was always very helpful to “academically-challenged” schoolmates like me. I used to think that I was pretty good at football (soccer) but when I returned to HK after university I found out that Ah Fun was a lot better football player than I ever was. I missed playing football with him and I will forever remember him. Rest in peace, my dear friend. less

第一年與阿勳同班係1966年Form 3A,之後4A,5A,6B,7B(B for... more第一年與阿勳同班係1966年Form 3A,之後4A,5A,6B,7B(B for Biology),一直到1971共5年。返學放學同佢搭埋同一巴士,佢喺桂林街落,我就過幾個站,經常一齊等車一齊坐。6B時功課壓力稍鬆,多咗時間大班人踢波游水踩單車,重有打麻雀。佢為人隨和而範範掂,又踏實而不華,無論在學業體育校外活動各方面,都有實力雖然不算標青。當年未必入校隊但社隊及班隊一定有佢份。當年7B廿幾個同學一半考入HKU醫科,佢係其中一個我唔係。1976年我喺美國畢業返香港後,又開始番同佢活動。1981-84我在觀塘住,佢診所也在觀塘,近街市,記憶中好似日日開診,周末半天。有時我地周末去開買餸都特登推門望望,希望打個招呼,但永遠最後都係決定唔好阻佢。後來我搬咗,又各有各忙,多數喺舊同學群體活動才踫面,例如敘餐踢波等,佢重越踢越好。上一次見面,可能係2018年底reunion,2020及21因疫情都應該沒見過,2019就不太肯定。上一次見面,見阿勳仍然精力充沛很fit,絕對難以想象佢會咁早離開,所以噩號簡直猶如晴天霹靂。但上天自有安排,祝願他安息。 less
