We are endlessly grateful for the time we were able to have, and the wisdom and life lessons that he bestowed. A life resolutely lived that charts an immigrant’s journey from China to Taiwan to the United States through Atlanta, Providence, Rochester, Hartford, and finally, unbelievably, to the Bay Area, from 1942 through this year that is 2020.
To share one story that underscores the matter of fact character which we grew up with, after his trusty Honda Civic got stuck in the snow miles from home during his cross-state (MA to RI) evening commute, as the New England blizzard of 1978 was picking up steam, he simply pulled over to the side of the road, got out, and walked home, finally arriving hours after dark, brushing the snow off his business raincoat and felt cap.
Rest well and be reunited with all our family and ancestors. We love you and will miss you, now and forever.
