OBITUARY
Henry Smith was a young African American man that was Lynched in Lamar county,Texas on Feburary 1, 1893. Henry was accused of murdering a white girl and Henry fled his hometown of Paris,Texas with fear of being lynched and soon a posse captured him and made him accountable for the murder without an investigation,evidence or a trial. 10,000 people gathered to witness the lynching and they cut off his body parts as souviners and people... see moreHenry Smith was a young African American man that was Lynched in Lamar county,Texas on Feburary 1, 1893.
