Greg was born in December 1982 to his mother Louise and father Ralph. Growing up Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing. As an adult his love of the outdoors continued. He always had a fishing or hunting story for you. He had so many memories of trips while growing up with his dad, uncles, and family friends. The last few years he was able to take more time to do the things he enjoyed with his best friends and family. From day trips at the river to week long adventures he loved them all.
If there was one thing Greg loved more than the outdoors it was his family. Especially his daughter Emma. "She is my masterpiece. She changed my life the day she was born. How could she not?" Simply put, Greg was meant to be a father. He jumped in with both feet and became the best.
Greg had a fun sense of humor once you got to know him. This started at a young age. Once, as a kid, his mom told him to stop pushing her buttons. His only response was to walk to the microwave and start hitting all the buttons.
Greg was always one to help a friend. Whether it was sharpening a chain saw blade or changing brakes on a car he was there for you.
Greg is unforgettable and has so many people who love and will miss him. He is survived by his daughter Emma; wife, Samantha; his mama-bear, Louise; sister, Heidi; brother Michael; and so many loving Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, In-Laws, and Friends that he considered adoped into his family.
He was preseded in death by his father Ralph.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Whatcom Hosipice House staff. The compassion and care that he recieved during his last few weeks can not be matched.

In the spring of his last year riding with me, Greg had friends in MS that he would wave to. As I came to a stop at the WFC corner, Greg started a short lived habit. Down went his window, out he leaned, and vigorously waved at the MS kids walking home. Me: "Greg, you may not lean out the window like that. When we get to the MS, you will need to move to the front seat." Greg: "how long". Me: "just for today". That seemed fine with him.
A few days later, back of the bus, same corner, same window down, Greg leans out and waves whole hardily. "Greg" I said. "I know, I know, front seat" how long this time"? Me: "one week." The week passes, he's back to his old seat. But in true Greg form the window just had to come down! "Gregory, not again?" to which he said,
"I know, Alice, I might just as well stay up front rest of the year" and the seat became Greg's.
I got to know Greg during that time. What a great guy!! When his school days were over he would stop by from time to time
after work. And the day I remember the best was the day he came by to proudly show off his little girl, Emma. He will be deeply missed! less
