የጎሳዬ ታየ አጭር የህይወትከ ታሪክ ።

ጎሣዬ ከአባቱ ከታየ አባይሬ ወልደ ጊዮርጊስ እና ከእናቱ  ከወዘሮ ጥሩወርቅ ማንያዘዋል ኃይለ ማርያም እንደ አውሮፓ አቆጣጠር በህዳር 1988 ወላጆቹ በዲፕሎማቲክ ተልእኮ በኖሩበት በኪዩባ ሪፐብሊክ ርዕሠ ከተማ በሀቫና ተወለደ ። እድሜው ለትምህርት ባደረሰው ጊዜ በዚያዉ ከተማ ትምህርቱን በመከታተል  እስከ ፬ኛ ክፍል ባጠናቀቀበት ወቅት ወላጆቹ ኑሮዋቸውን በአሜሪካ ለማርግ በማቀዳቸው ከነርሱ ጋር አብረው ተጉዋዙ።

ቤተሰቡ መኖሪያ ባደረገበት Maryland, Silver Spring በሚገኙ ትምህርት ቤቶች በአንዱ ፭ኛ ክፍል  ቀጥሎ ፡ በመጨረሻም በ Montgomery Blair High School የሚሰጠውን የትምህርት ካሪኩለም በማጠናቀቅ በዲፕሎም ተመርቛል።

ጎሣዬ በሀቫናም ሆነ በሜሪላንድ ትምህርት ቤቶች ዕውቀትን በመቅሰም ጥረቱ ከፍተኛ ማርኮችን ከማስመዝገቡም ባሻገር፣ በልዩ ልዩ የትምህርት ማበልፀጊያ ተቛማት ውስጥ በበጎፈቃድ እየተሳተፈ በርካታ የምስክር ወረቀቶችን  አግኝትዋል። ታዳጊ ህፃናትንም ያስተምር ነበር።

ጎሣዬ ኰሌጅ ለመግባት በዝግጅት ላይ እያለ ወደ ሥራ ዓለም ገብቶ ኑሮን በግል ለማሸነፍ ይጣጣር ነበር። ይሁንና፣ ከጥቂት ዓመታት በፊት የጀመረዉን ፅኑ ሕመም በሕክምና በመቆቛቛም ላይ እያለ፣ ከዚህ የጭንቅ ዓለም የመለያው ወቅት በመድረሱ፣

በታህሣሥ 27 ቀን 2021 አረፈ።

ጎሣዬ፣ በተፈጥሮዉ ንቁ፣ ታታሪ፣ ትንሽ ትልቅ ሳይል፣ ደሀውን ከከበርቴው ሳይለይ፣ሁሉንም በእኩል ከማየቱም በላይ፣ "ሠላም!" ሲል ከሚታወቅበት በጎ ባህርያቱ መካከል በእጅ መጨባበጥ ሳይሆን ፍቅርና  አክብሮቱን የሚገልጸው በረጃጅም ክንዶቹ በማቀፍ እንደነር ነው።

የጎሣዬን ሰብዕና ለመግለጽ ቃላት ስለሚያጥረን፣ "እንዲያው ድንቅ!" ብንለው ይበቃን ይ ይሆን!? "ይህች ዓለም መተላለፊያ ምድር እንጂ፣ የዘላለም መኖሪያችን አለመሆኑዋን በለጋ እድሜዉ  አስተምሮን ወደ ዘለዓለም መኖሪያችን ተጉዞዋል።

የልጃችንን፣ የወንድማችንን ነፍስ ፈጣሪ በገነት ያኑርልን፣ጎሣችን በሠላም ዕረፍ።

በጭንቃችን ወቅት ከቅርብም፣ ከሩቅም ለረዳችሁንና ላጽናናችሁን  የከበረ  ምስጋና  ያቀርባል ።

አውቆታል ጎሳዬ ጊዜው መቃረቡን ፣
እማዬ አባዬ ዳጊም በርቱ ሲለን ፣

ማመን ቢከብደንም መቼ አጣነው ሐቁን ፣
ሆድ ሲያውቅ ዶሮ ማታ ይሉታል ይኸንን ።

ቀኑ ደረሰና አንተም ተሰናበትህ ጉዞህንም ጀመርክ ፣
መጨበጫው ጠፋን አልንልህ ብርክርክ ።

ጠንክሩም አንዳልኸን ይከበራል ቃልህ ፣
ይህን እንድንፈጽም ምራን ከላይ ሆነህ ፣

አደራ አይለዬን ጠንካራው መንፈስህ ፣
ጎሳዬ ደህና ሁን መጥተን እስክናይህ ፣
ቸሩ ፈጣሪያችን ከጻድቃኖቹ ጎን በገነት ያኑርህ ።

Gossaye Taye Abayre was born to Mr. Taye Abayre Wolde-Giorgis and Mrs. Turuwork Manyazowal Haile-Mariam.  He was born in Havana, Cuba, on November  22, 1988, as his parents had been relocated to Cuba for diplomatic duties.  When he was of school age, he began his studies in Havana and studied there until the end of fourth grade.  Gossaye then moved with his parents and older brother, Dagmawi, to Silver Spring, MD and attended area schools until his graduation from Montgomery Blair High School.  Throughout Gossaye’s studies, in both Cuba and the United States, he was awarded numerous awards and recognitions for his excellence in academics.  Gossaye also served as a tutor and mentor to young students.  

As he prepared for college and the bright future ahead of him, he became employed and continued to further his life and build his career.  Alongside these efforts, he also continued to manage his health and well-being through a serious illness.  Always his brother’s keeper, Dagmawi’s care and consideration for Gossaye was incomparable.  Gossaye, having battled this long illness, and being supported and watched over by his family, departed this life on December 27, 2021. 

Beloved by so many, Gossaye was naturally joyful, hardworking, and treated and respected all as equals.  He always treated those with whom he interacted with the utmost care and dignity.  Gossaye had such a generous heart and smile that would light up a room. He was known for his loving greetings and huge hugs.  He was the epitome of humility, strength, and gentleness. We are short of words to explain what Gossaye’s life and spirit mean to us; to say he was “precious” to us would not be enough.  His passing at such a young age has reinforced for all of us that this life on earth is just a passageway to eternal life.  May our Lord protect and hold our son’s and brother’s life safely in Heaven.  May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

We are all devastated by the sudden loss of this amazing and beautiful person.  For all those who have shared our sorrow and comforted our family, from near and far, we thank you greatly.
