OBITUARY
Godwin John Fianko-Aye, affectionately called Dada Godwin, died on the 8th of July 2020 in hospital at the age of 71. He is preceded by His parents, Mr. Amishadai Fianko Aye and Mrs Nora Naadu Aye, and his daughter Christine Ayebea Ayeh-Fianko.
Godwin's Finance and Accounting career began in banking and he also enjoyed putting his hands to work with farming. Upon moving to Lome, Togo, Godwin worked with the International Federation of Builders and Wood Workers (IFBWW). In 1998, he moved to Zimbabwe with his family on transfer with the same firm. He later joined WHO in Harare until his retirement in 2012. Godwin returned to Ghana after retirement and settled in Kumasi, Ghana. He continued working with Jackson Educational Complex until 2017.
Godwin is survived by his four children; Sinclair Fianko-Ayeh, Nora Naadu Sena, Sophia Obeyaa Dankwa and Kwabena Fianko-Ayeh; and seven grandchildren – Nigel, Nana Asempa, Maame Affulba, Jinelle, Gabriella, Paa Kwesi & Daniella. He is also survived by his siblings – Offei Aye, Theodosia Jackson, Seth Aye and Gloria Okine.
Godwin loved people and he will be dearly missed.
SERVICES
Burial service is on the 18th of July 2020 at 8am at Presby Church, Christ Congregation, KNUST
Kumasi - Ghana. Family Gathering will follow at Ayeduase Roman Catholic School Park, Kumasi - Ghana at 11am
