Son to Dave and Debbie Eisenlord,
Brother to Scott Eisenlord
Cousin, nephew, grandson and friend to many
Loved by all!
Geoff grew up in Plymouth MI with his loving parents and older brother Scott. He enjoyed vacations and camping with his family, he played soccer, and he always excelled in school. After graduation he headed to Michigan State where he studied English. Geoff loved to read and he knew a great deal about many subjects, so he was always up for a good conversation. During his time in East Lansing, Geoff kept old friends and made many new friends. He learned to play the guitar, and he went out to see a lot of live shows. He had a passion for music and loved sharing it with others. Geoff also had a good eye for the arts and was a keen observer of life, which drew him to work for a while as a photographer taking candid photos at various events and parties.
Then, in 1996, his adventurous, free spirit, led him to the mountains of Steamboat Springs CO. There he formed more close relationships and made several lifelong friends. During his time in Colorado, Geoff enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, camping, going to concerts, and making music with his buddies. He loved playing guitar, and when he was around a campfire he was always ready to entertain with a song or a story. Forever stout-hearted, he once spent a summer camping solo on Buffalo Pass just up the mountain from Steamboat. After many memorable years in the mountains, Geoff decided it was time to move back to Michigan and reconnect with his family and friends at home.
Geoff loved his family, and truly enjoyed spending time with his parents, his brother, and his cousins. Geoff was also a big Michigan State fan and was a regular at MSU football games; he really liked going to Detroit Tigers and Red Wings games as well. While in Lansing, Geoff worked as an operations manager for a hotel, and in recent years he worked for General Motors, where he enjoyed a job in manufacturing. He was a dedicated, reliable, hard worker.
Geoff had a generous, humble nature that made him easy to be around, and you always felt natural and at ease in his presence. He was genuine, and you could always be yourself. Geoff was also a great listener who made you feel comfortable and cared for. His quick wit and humor brought lightness and laughter to those around him….. and that laugh! We will surely miss that laugh!
The emptiness created by such a sudden and unexpected loss is hard to grasp. Geoff was someone we thought would always be here with us. He was a kindhearted, gentle and thoughtful soul and he was truly a compassionate and loving friend. May we all honor Geoff by keeping the amazing memories we have created with him over the years in our hearts and in our stories forever.
