OBITUARY
Frances Elizabeth Shaffner Byrd, 73, passed away Thursday May 14, 2020. She was born August 20, 1946 in Surry County to the late Jacob Ephrin Shaffner and Amy Macemore Shaffner.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Ryan Gwyn; two sisters Ruth Blake, Dorothy Mullis; five brothers Paul Shaffner, James Shaffner, Jesse Shaffner, William Shaffner and Jacob Shaffner.
